DWIJEN GUPTA
At a very young age Dwijen chanced upon a film poster DEVILof the legendary film maker Satyajit Ray and expressed an idea which the great director marvelled at and predicted his future as an artist. Later, in the Government College of Art & Craft, Kolkata, Dwijen achieved a brilliant academic record topping in all.
Years in Visual Art:
In advertising Dwijen created award winning designs and three dimensional works like exhibition, murals and promotional displays for private as well as public sector.
Fascinated with human beings and probing different status of human life especially of women. Dwijens canvas made several journeys to make her portrayal with incisive expressions. The figurative compositions elaborated in water colours expresses the unheeded, unspoken and unsung.
Speciality:
Large water colours on Tussar paper and canvas and large canvas. Also , experimented in mixed media.
